Magnecor’s 8mm leads (also known as ‘Electrosport 80’) are designed to improve the performance of original ignition systems in road vehicles that use either electronic engine management systems or carburettors. Each lead is hand-assembled by highly trained production staff. They feature uprated stainless steel 'snap-lock' terminals at the spark plug end and each lead is individually numbered. Although 8mm in diameter they can be fitted into original 7mm clips. Whatever the application; motorsport or road performance, your engine will always benefit from a set of Magnecor ignition leads. These leads were primarily designed for racing engines but they can also be used on road vehicles. They’re also ideal for turbocharged and supercharged engines with any type of ignition system.The entire jacket is made from an aerospace heat-resistant silicone rubber material which surrounds a thick 2.5mm Metallic Inductance Suppressed Conductor. |  |

Both types are an improvement on original equipment and can be used on road engines, but KV85 is better suited to tuned engines and race engines. KV85 leads have a 2.5mm diameter conducting core which can deliver a stronger spark than the 1.7mm core found in Magnecor’s 8mm leads.
